China-continued
the abbreviated version

In this section we leave Beijing and its interesting spots and head to other interesting spots in Xian, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Hangzhou (which doesn't have a photo, but take my word, we were there), and Guilin.

This is Tracey & Al at the Big Goose Pagoda in Xian. It is a neat place. Can you tell the Pagoda is leaning?
Think we can wear the same clothes for 3 weeks?
We also visited the Terra Cotta Soldiers. This is Tracey kissing a replica of a terra cotta soldier. They probably cost more to make to day than they did 500 years ago.
Kindda tastes like chalk
We had tea in a famous Tea Room in Shanghai. President Bill Clinton had tea in the same place when he visited although I think we sat in different seats. They also did not close the stores for three days when we visited.
This is a natural look, don't I look natural?
Some rich dude a long time ago built a fancy garden near the tea house. This is us in the garden. Can you see the dragon? The Chinese are big on dragons
We're tourists, deal with it
Here we are at the not so famous Camel Hill in Guilin. Can you guess why it is called Camel Hill? There was a real Panda bear nearby. He was not climbing trees though
Dad, take the darn picture! I need a bathroom NOW!
Here is a great photo with a back drop of Hong Kong. Hong Kong is a very crowded place with lots of very tall buildings and a lot of people with cell phones.
So many stores, so many shops, so little time.

This is Tracey and Al at the Summer Palace in Beijing. The lake was man made 500 years ago. Since they had few bulldozers when it was built, it makes it somewhat more interesting. It is out of chronological order and bigger than the other photos as it may be the single best photo ever taken of Al in the past 49 years. Don't click the photo.
This photo will make a great Christmas present for everyone

That concludes your visit to China. You may click <BACK> to go back. Some day, there may be a link to go forward. Today is not that day.
