Thailand Adventure Notes:
Trace...these are some notes and photos we have on our activities in Chiang Mai and Bangkok. Let me know what you think so we can finish up this web stuff. Not that any of our friends could give a hoot, but..... I think most of them get glassy eyed on the mention of our photos anyway. We can get even with them at Christmas when we start giving them pure homemade Thailand elephant dung as a gift. I'm glad we brought the 10 lbs back with us.....Dad
Remember I shot you and our guide Ot atop Doi Suthep after we climbed all those damn steps. What the heck did we do there anyway beyond walk around a lot in our bare feet. The view over the country side was pretty good. Also good we didn’t take their tram car. I’m glad sweat doesn’t show up in photos. Was that 306 more steps? Pronounce WAT PHRATHAT temple how? People are more impressed when you can make it sound like you know the local language. Should we say we had three Buddist monks meet us at the bottom of the steps before walking up them? Nobody will know this was a postcard. Do you remember the story on the Serpentking stairs? I just had to put a Budda in. The whole country is mostly Buddas and elephants. Nice that it was an active temple. I’m still annoyed our guide didn’t get our photo on the elephant. We were bouncing back and forth on the thing for 2 hours. Maybe I should have fed Ot the bananas instead. Let’s just say we’re on the lead elephant in the photo. I did like the raft trip even if the water was brown. Nice lunch the hotel packed for us, but $10 US for a peanut butter sandwich? Might be a recession in Asia, but it wasn’t at The Regent.Don't quit yet, I have another page or two to go. over
